Growing up on a dairy farm in Iowa gave me a great foundation for life, it made me want to know what was out there.
Growing up on a dairy farm in Iowa gave me a great foundation for life, it made me want to know what was out there.
I started my career as a secretary in Omaha, Nebraska. When an opportunity to work in a Chicago suburb opened up, I took it. The new job and new town was exciting. In my free time, I began taking community college courses. My interests expanded towards getting a degree in English education.
Teaching filled my life for many years. I taught high school and college level English, Speech Communication, and ESL courses. I loved creating interesting and engaging lessons for students.
In 2011, I made the decision to leave full-time teaching to pursue writing. At about the same time, I took a class on how to read Tarot cards for myself and others. I did not think to connect writing with Tarot until a friend told me that some writers like using Tarot for their story ideas. Intrigued, I researched how writers were doing this. There were books, web sites, e-courses, and blogs about writing with Tarot.
The research showed several methods and styles for using Tarot to write, but no detailed step-by-step way to use Tarot for writing stories. Knowing how people learn and what strategies help them learn, led me to create HOW TO WRITE A STORY USING TAROT CARDS.
One of my great passions is gardening.
